Sights in Verano
- Knottnkino: The mountain cinema on Rotsteinkogel has an excelent view of the surrounding mountain massifs.
- The Parish Church dating from 1330 contains neo-Gothic winged altar. It has a marvellously arranged and well-kept cemetery.
- Beimsteinkogel rock with its view of the villages below. Untersteinkogel, is the third of the tuff rock formations called "Kogel" that are unique to South Tyrol.

The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle & The Touriseum
The 12 hectares of land sourrounding Trauttmansdorff Castle are cultivated with a collection of plants from all over the world divided into 4 different sections: the Sun Gardens, Aquatic und Hanging Gardens, Forest Gardens und South Tyrolean Landscapes. 11 pavilions designed by artists illustrate the main strategies used by plant life. Attractions: Grotto with multimedia show, geological mosaic, orchid greenhouse, Japanese garden.
South Tyrolean Archeological Museum
The Iceman is exhibited with his tools, clothing and weapons; the museum also has a rich collection of archeological findings.
