If we had to choose just one word to describe Oberwirt's hospitality philosophy, it would be family. In fact, our hotel is not only family-run but strives to make every single guest feel at home. Barbara
As the heart of the Oberwirt, Barbara looks after reception, guest care, breakfast and the day-to-day organisation of the house. With her warmth and genuine hospitality, she makes sure every guest feels welcome from the very first moment.
Favourite place to be: breakfast in good company.
For Barbara, the best way to start the day is over a lovely breakfast and a friendly chat — ideally out on the terrace.
Vinzenz
Vinzenz is a host through and through, and can be found wherever an extra pair of hands is needed. Whether in service, in the garden or helping with practical jobs around the house, he puts his heart into making sure everything runs smoothly.
Favourite place to be: the garden and nature.
He takes particular pride in caring for the green spaces, as well as the beautiful natural surroundings of Verano.
Jonas
Jonas works in service, around the house and in the garden. Precise, hands-on and highly committed, he brings plenty of energy to the family business. His great passion is sport and being active in the great outdoors.
Favourite place to be: the mountains and open spaces.
In his free time, he enjoys hiking and playing sport — and where better than the Tschögglberg, with its countless opportunities?
Maren
Maren works at reception and in service and also looks after our social media presence. She takes care of communication with our guests and shares glimpses of everyday life at the Oberwirt through our digital channels.
Favourite place to be: the wellness area and pool.
In quieter moments, she loves sitting by the pool with a good book — her favourite way to switch off and unwind.
